Corrections Policy

Mistakes happen. When they do, we correct them publicly.

Last updated: August 1, 2026

What we correct

  • Inaccurate calculator outputs, formulas or default assumptions.
  • Outdated tax brackets, contribution limits or regulatory references.
  • Factual errors, broken links or misattributed sources in articles and lessons.
  • Broken or non-functioning tools and downloads.

How to report an issue

Email corrections@calculatingwealth.com with the page URL, a description of the problem and — when possible — the source supporting your correction.

Our response process

  1. Acknowledge within five business days.
  2. Investigate against primary sources and our calculator methodology.
  3. Fix the issue if confirmed.
  4. Disclose material corrections with a dated note at the bottom of the affected page.

What counts as material

Material corrections include changes to numeric outputs, changes that could affect a reader's financial decision, or revisions to advertised methodology. Typo fixes and minor copy edits are made silently.

Independence

Corrections are made on the merits. Advertiser, sponsor and affiliate relationships never influence whether or how a correction is published.
